Once Upon A Time...

It is Valentine's Day and isn't that a day we hope for a fairytale? Valentine's Day is also known as Single Awareness Day. I wonder why? Valentine's Day is just a regular day. It really is.

I have spent my day with my family. A good way actually. Do I hope for a date one time? Of course but obviously not right now. For those who want to know, I am 17 and single. But I am totally fine with that. Besides I live in Peru (or I am for another two weeks) and that speaks for itself. So single I am and single I will stay. Moving on, I think I will celebrate this day by writing a story. A short one at any rate. While it might not be the greatest or anything like that but I will try my best.

There she is, I thought. I peeked through the branches down, down, down to the ground. Hiding up in my favorite tree, something I do almost everyday. Below there was laughter then a voice. "Oh, you should be ashamed of yourselves!" There was a murmur of voices. Louder, I thought, come closer! Then I saw her. Her name was Willow. With red hair and sparkling green eyes. She was with a group, five other girls and two boys. All I knew but didn't know personally. They passes by and I let out a sigh. Too late I realized that Willow had hung back. Slowly turning her head upward he met her green eyes.

I heard the noise, a sigh and looked up. Gray eyes met my own. We both stared at each other. "Hey! Willow," someone called. I jerked my head around. "Sorry! I'll be right there," I yelled back. I looked back up to the boy. Hunter was his name. What was he doing up there? He looked scared for some reason. I gave him a smile and said a soft "hi." He stared back silent. Giving another smile I turned to walk away. Then I heard it. Soft and so very quiet. "Hi."

That was part one anyways. Look for part 2, coming soon. I hope you enjoy it. Leave a comment either way. Now I say goodbye and Happy Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
